Introduction
South Dublin County Public Participation Network (PPN) is delighted to invite members to register for our upcoming Linkage Group meetings in April 2026.
What are Linkage Groups?
Linkage Groups are specific-purpose sub-groups of the PPN that bring together
members with a shared interest in a specific policy area. This is a way for members to collectively debate and have a real and meaningful input into and influence on local policy.
What are the themes?
We are setting up the initial Linkage Groups based on the following thematic areas:
- Social Inclusion, Housing and Equality
- Community, Enterprise, Tourism, Sports & Arts
- Climate Action, Environment, Transport and Planning
When will the Linkage Groups meet?
The Linkage Groups will hold their inaugural meetings from 7.00pm to 8.30pm in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel on the following dates:
- Monday 20 April: Social Inclusion, Housing and Equality
- Tuesday 21 April: Community, Enterprise, Tourism, Sports & Arts
- Wednesday 22 April : Climate Action, Environment, Transport and Planning
Do I need to attend all of these meetings!?
No! We would suggest you or a representative of your organisation choose the meeting that most closely reflects the work and priorities of your organisation and come along.
What will the first round of meetings be about?
These first meetings are an opportunity to hear more about the Linage Groups and their potential impact. The meetings are also a chance to make new connections, find shared actions and new ways of working with others on shared challenges. We discuss how members can use these groups to coordinate successfully and for the benefit of communities.
