Based on the area of your structure the concrete base thickness (m) should be:
For standard domestic garden sheds under 10 square meters, we typically recommend a minimum concrete base for shed depth of 100mm (4 inches). For larger structures like workshops or garden rooms, we increase this to 150mm (6 inches) to enhance the load-bearing capacity. Premium garden buildings or those housing heavy equipment often warrant bases of 150-200mm with additional reinforcement requirements.
