CREW EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Opening Shot is a brand-new Scottish film development programme run by Astar Media as part of the Screen Scotland Talent Builder initiative.

Working alongside Intercultural Youth Scotland, we are supporting four exciting short film projects shooting in Spring 2026.

If you're aged 18+, based in the Central Belt and would be interested in a crew role, please fill in your details below. We'll share the database with our selected filmmakers so that they can reach out to you directly.

While expressions of interest from experienced practitioners are welcomed, we're also really keen to include total newcomers on our database. We anticipate plenty opportunities to get involved!

All crew roles will be paid Scottish Living Wage. We can also facilitate expenses-only work experience opportunities for newcomers who would like to take part in a lighter or more supportive role, without full-shoot commitment.
