2026 Scholarship Application

Presented by the National Council of Negro Women(NCNW)

It is with great excitement that NCNW Colga Section will award scholarships for graduating senior or undergraduate students(Freshmen and Sophmores) in Muscogee, Harris, and Russell Counties. We will give out a total of 3 scholarships:
- 2- $1000.00 Scholarship for a student enrolling or attending college
- 1- $250.00 Scholarship for a student enrolling or already attending Georgia Military College
A pre-screening of each application will be based on your ability to complete the application as specified. Once the application passes the pre-screening process, it will be evaluated. Applicants will be evaluated on academic performance, character, citizenship, school, and community involvement.

The recipient must meet the following criteria to qualify:
- Completed electronic application
- Must be a citizen or legal resident of Muscogee, Harris, and Russell Counties.
- Senior photo or photo (headshot)
- Official High school or college transcript
  - Must have a GPA of 2.50-3.25 on a 4.00 scale.
  - GPA score verified by senior counselor
- 1 letters of recommendation
  - 1 letter from extracurricular activities or social organizations or
  - 1 letter from a teacher, counselor, or administrator
- 1 Completed short essays
- Essay Topic: "How will pursuing your intended college major empower you to create meaningful change in your community? In your response, describe the specific impact you hope to make, the challenges you aim to address, and how your education will prepare you to contribute positively to others."
*Application must be submitted by May 15, 2026 at 11:59pm.
