Solos and/or Specialties taught in Summer 2026 will have the opportunity to begin competing in January 2027. Learning a routine over the summer allows dancers to focus on choreography without juggling multiple class routines at the same time. Summer solos/specialties give students the opportunity to perform in competitions in January, February and March as well as the during the three group competitions that are scheduled for late Spring.
(Summer solo/specialties must compete in at least 2 of the 3 competitions offered Jan/Feb/March)
Fall Solos/Specialties will not begin competing until late March and will have the opportunity to compete approximately three times. Please note: Solos and Specialties are for competition only.
Why Solos & Specialties?
- Solos and specialties are a great way to build self-esteem and confidence.
- These classes help dancers strengthen individual skills and improve performance in group routines.
- Music will be selected by the teacher based on the dancer’s age and ability level.
- Specialty groups will be formed at the teachers’ discretion.
- Scheduling will be arranged at a time that works for both the dancer(s) and the teacher.
Scheduling & Placement
Solos and Specialties will begin in June/July. Your solo and/or specialty group, teacher, and music will be selected for you. Please do not contact teachers to request choreography.

For your convenience, tuition will be divided into monthly payments.
Payment Details:
Summer Solo
- $210 deposit due with registration
- Remaining balance paid in 9 payments of $135 due: Aug 1, Sept 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, March 1, April 1
- Includes 10 classes (30 minutes each)
- Payments will be automatically added to monthly tuition
Summer Duo/Trio/Small Group
- $210 deposit due with registration
- Remaining balance paid in 9 payments of $120 due: Aug 1, Sept 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, March 1, April 1
- Includes 12 classes (30 minutes each)
- Payments will be automatically added to the student’s monthly tuition
Costume & Competition Fees
- Costume fee: $160 per costume, due September 1
- Competition fee: determined in October
Any additional time needed beyond the included classes will be an additional cost.
