JOB SUMMARY
The Training Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator (FADO) works to assess training needs for Hutto Fire Rescue personnel. The Training FADO will assist to develop, coordinate, and deliver classes and training to Hutto Fire Rescue personnel and ensure that Hutto Fire Rescue members are proficiently trained to perform their assigned tasks. Technical knowledge is required for the Training FADO in firefighting, rescue, medical, hazardous materials, and related fire service subjects. While the work is performed under the direct supervision of the Training Officer/Health Safety Officer (Fire Captain), the individual must take initiative and exercise independent judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Structure Firefighter – Intermediate
- Texas State Department of State Health Services Emergency Medical Technician – Basic
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Fire Officer I
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Fire Instructor I
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Driver/Operator - Pumper
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Hazardous Materials Technician
