Emerging Artist Vendor Application
Are you a young artist and entrepreneur between the ages of 8 and 18 looking for a chance to market your goods to people visiting and living in Douglas County? Sign up today to be considered as part of a group of emerging artist vendors featured at the Summer Arts Festival! If accepted for this unique opportunity, you will have a chance to sell your artwork at a major summer festival while also connecting with fellow artists and learning more about the business side of the creative process through included mentorship workshops.
Application Process
Artists between the ages of 8 and 18 are invited to apply. To be considered in this process, artists must live in Douglas County, must be of the appropriate age, and provide all of the necessary information asked below by the deadline of May 29th. Accepted artists will be required to attend a booth workshop on Saturday, June 6th. Accepted artists will be notified of their acceptance no later than June 1st.

Please Note
Emerging artists can sign up for one or more shifts at the emerging artists' booth during which they can sell their merchandise. Please be aware that vendors will be responsible for pricing and selling their own work; they should bring a small box in which to keep their money and cash for making change. Goods sold at the festival must be handmade by the artist, exhibiting a creative use of materials in the construction of their work. Artists under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian with them at all times.

Saturday Workshop
On Saturday, June 6th, UVA emerging artists will be required to attend a professional development workshop. From 10am-12pm, artists/entrepreneurs will learn basic skills relating to entrepreneurism, and create custom business cards and fliers. Parents/guardians are required to attend with their vendor.

Should you be accepted as one of our emerging artist vendors, you will be charged a $35 fee to reserve your spot. This fee also covers the workshop and other materials that are provided by UVA. Applications submitted after the deadline May 29th will not be accepted.
