Toowoon Bay SLSC is excited to announce an opportunity for our members to participate in a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course on Saturday 27th June in the Clubhouse. This essential training will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to responsibly serve alcohol. To support your development, the Club is pleased to offer the course at a subsidised price ($50.00), making it more accessable for our valued members. We particularly encourage members who will turn 18 shortly after the course to participate, as we aim to assist in providing pathways for employment not only with TBSLSC, but in the hospitality industry for our younger members. We invite expressions of interest from anyone looking to enhance their professional qualifications and contribute to the running of SIPS (vol), and looking for some work when staff are required for functions at Toowoon Bay SLSC (paid). Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
The RSA Course covers topics such as:
- Understanding the effects of alcohol on individuals.
- Legal obligations and responsibilities associated with serving alcohol.
- Strategies for preventing intoxication and managing difficult situations.
- Responsible service practices to ensure the safety of patrons
- Compliance and enforcement.
- Minors, ID checks and secondary supply.
Coure will be facilitated by Barmax
Course duration: 8.30am - 4pm
Fee includes photo competency card.
**In NSW, you can get an RSA at any age, but you may only serve alcohol once you turn 18 years old. It is recommend to only get an RSA just before you turn 18 so that you can maximise the amount of time you can work before needing to renew your competency.
