General Team Registration Information:
- All teams can be up to two individuals.
- Each team wishing to participate and compete should pre-register for the event to assist with brackets.
- Teams may choose to register at the event if desired.
- Individuals on each will be required to purchase tickets to the LVL UP EXPO at lvlupexpo.com.
1. How to do I register my team for the event?
Prospective teams should fill out this form for pre-registration (on-site registration will also be allowed). All participants will be contacted by event partners/organizers to complete release forms and answer any additional questions necessary to compete.
2. What weight classes are included?
The event will feature exclusively 1 pound robots including all types that fit this category of combat robots.
3. What is the Event Format?
The event will take place concurrently with the LVL UP EXPO. The first day, April 24 (Friday) will feature: team check-in, set up pit area, safety inspection. All robots must pass an overall inspection to compete. Teams will be allowed to practice this day. Team matches will be communicated electronically and at the event booth.
Each participating and qualified robot (post inspection) will compete in at least 3 matches at the event during official competition play on Saturday, April 25. Robot bouts between weight classes will be run simultaneously across different arenas. After 3 losses in the Swiss-style format, a team is eliminated.
There will be up to 32 teams at the event. The top robots will advance to a single elimination bracket to be played on Sunday, April 26 for awards, recognition, and prizes.
4. What are the event rules?
The event will use modified SPARC rules and procedures. If your bot competed and gained its points and rank in events using non-SPARC rules, you will need to update your bot to comply with the SPARC rules to compete at the event. The official game manual will be shared directly with participating teams.
