    Date: April 22nd & 2026

    Time: 4:00 pm-5:00 pm

    Cost: Free

For all ages! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Come build your very own mini mossarium with us in this 2-part class. Please only sign up for this activity if you can attend both days, as this will not be completed in a single day.

On Earth Day, April 22nd, we will build the bases for our moss, and make mini decorations with clay. We will learn some basic information about mosses and how they grow and thrive.

On April 29th, we will be painting our dried clay decorations and adding our own foraged moss to the mossariums. We will go over basic care for your mossariums at home.

Attendees will be encouraged to go outside between the two classes to find what moss they want to keep. Attendees will need to bring their own foraged moss to class on the 29th to add to their mossariums.

These are small and the perfect size for a windowsill, a work desk, or a side table. Most of them will be lidded, and safe to have around pets. You will need the use of your hands for making decorations, but this activity is otherwise suited for people of all abilities.

This activity will be led by Diane, a Pine County Master Gardener. We look forward to celebrating Earth Day with you!
