SHIFT DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS
Hours vary by season and business need. Meeting minimum availability requirements is required for employment.
Front of House: Scheduled shifts may fall between 11am and 10pm to accommodate opening & closing store times.
Kitchen: Scheduled shifts may fall between 8am and 9pm to accommodate production needs.
Part-Time (Permanent & Seasonal)
• Minimum three (3) days per week of availability
• At least one (1) weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) with ability to open & close
• At least one (1) weekday evening with ability to open & close
Full-Time (Permanent & Seasonal)
• Minimum five (5) days per week of availability
• Must be available both Saturday and Sunday
• Must be able to close at least one (1) weekend day; open or mid shift the other
• At least three (3) additional weekday evenings with closing availability
VACATION & BLACKOUT DATES — ALL LOCATIONS
Note: May-September is our busy season. We cannot accomodate absences longer than 2 consecutive operational days off during this time. Already have trips booked? We'd love to hear from you in the fall!
Blackout Dates:
• Canada Day — July 1
• Community Specific: Fernfest, Vic West Fest, Oak Bay Tea Party — dates set annually
• August Long Weekend — Friday through Monday
• Labour Day Weekend — Friday through Monday
