Nannup Community Shed – Conditions of Use (Equipment Hire)
The following Conditions of Use apply to all equipment hired from the Nannup Community Shed. By submitting an Equipment Hire Form, the hirer agrees to comply with the conditions listed below.
1. Responsibilities of the Hirer.
1.1 The hirer is responsible for the safe handling, transportation, and use of all equipment during the hire period.
1.2 Equipment is to be used only for the purpose stated on the Equipment Hire Form.
1.3 The hirer must ensure that any individuals operating the equipment do so safely and responsibly.
2. Condition of Equipment
2.1 All equipment will be inspected and signed out by the Community Shed Coordinator prior to collection.
2.2 The hirer acknowledges the equipment is clean, in good working order, and free from damage at the time of pick‑up.
2.3 The hirer must immediately report any issues, defects, or concerns before removing the equipment from the premises.
3. Cleaning Requirements
3.1 All equipment must be returned clean, free from debris, and in a sanitary condition.
3.2 Additional cleaning fees may apply if equipment is returned in an unacceptable condition.
4. Return of Equipment
4.1 Equipment must be returned: By the agreed date and time, To the same location from which it was collected, and In the same condition as at the time of hire, except for reasonable wear and tear.
4.2 Equipment must be placed neatly and securely in its designated storage area.
4.3 Late returns may incur additional charges.
5. Post‑Hire Inspection
5.1 All equipment will be inspected upon return by the Community Shed Coordinator.
5.2 A sign‑off form will be completed to confirm: All items have been returned Items are clean, Items are undamaged, and Items have been returned to the correct location.
6. Loss, Damage, or Misuse
6.1 The hirer is responsible for any loss, breakage, or damage that occurs during the hire period.
6.2 The hirer agrees to pay for repair or replacement costs as determined by the Community Shed Coordinator.
6.3 Misuse of equipment or failure to follow appropriate safety practices may result in refusal of future hire.
7. Indemnity
7.1 The hirer indemnifies the Nannup Community Shed and the Shire of Nannup from any claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from the use of hired equipment.
7.2 The hirer accepts full responsibility for ensuring the equipment is used safely and appropriately.
8. Compliance
8.1 The hirer must comply with all current safety guidelines, Shire policies, and any lawful directions given by the Community Shed Coordinator.
8.2 Non‑compliance may result in cancellation of the hire agreement and possible additional charges.
