    This is the registration form for the Rice Owl Edge Externship Program. We offer three externship tracks for our volunteers to choose from when supporting Rice students. Each can be done virtually or in person, depending on your preference.

     

    • Owl Edge Externships: Experience this two-day or longer externship may provide students with opportunities for shadowing, project-based learning, or professional networking. You might offer sustained mentorship, hands-on projects, and/or multiple professional connections.
    • Owl Edge Externships: Engage is a one-day externship that gives students a tangible "day-in-the-life" through job shadowing, career conversations, and structured immersion. You may offer small projects, client interactions, and/or office tours. 
    • Owl Edge Externships: Explore is a shorter externship that focuses on informational interviews, career advice, and high-level introductions to your career. You may offer a few Zoom conversations, invite them to your staff meeting, or meet over coffee. 

    All our externship tracks are designed to help Rice students make informed career decisions and build professional connections. Join us in building Rice students' "Owl Edge" and make a meaningful impact on their journey.
