  • The $70K Dreams to Dollars Challenge is where vision meets strategy. This high-impact student competition challenges future beauty, barber, and wellness professionals to turn their career dreams into a written, revenue-backed business plan and pitch it with clarity, confidence, and conviction.

    What Is the $70K Dreams to Dollars Challenge?
    Students create a 3-year written business plan that demonstrates how they will generate $70,000+ in annual service revenue by their third year licensed, and then defend that plan through video.

    Three finalists will be selected to:

    • Pitch their plan on stage at Chair to Boss Live on Monday, September 28 at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center. 
    • Answer judge questions in real time.

    Finalists are responsible for their own travel and lodging. 

    Prizes

    • 1st Place: $5,000
    • 2nd Place: $2,000
    • 3rd Place: $1,000

In the video, answer the following briefly: Who are you as a professional (introduce your name, school/location and program type)? What services will you focus on? How will you reach $70,000+ by Year 3? Why is your plan realistic and sustainable?
