    Player Guidelines:

    1.      All players must arrive at practice on time and be ready to work. (15 minutes before practice starts to put up net, stretch and warm up)

(This is not a social event, if a player continues to disrupt practice they will be asked to leave.  The player is at practice for 2 hours a week, how they take advantage of the training/practice is up to them)

    2.     Teamwork is a crucial element of being able to win games/tournaments

Players must learn to work with each other and rely on each other with a positive attitude even when things are not going their way.   Everybody has a role on the team; even on the bench they will have a role in order to support the team in a positive manner.  If a player does not like their playing time on the court in a tournament, they must work harder in practice.

    3.     All players that are injured or restricted from sports activity must get written doctor’s release to return to practice and/or tournaments.

    4.     Do not talk negatively eight publicly or in social media about the program, coaches, parents and/or players. (These are grounds for Dismissal from the club)

    5.     Any player can choose to find sponsors to help with the cost of their club dues.   All sponsor funds will be distributed ½ to credit player’s dues and ½ to DVA.

    6.     Pictures, Videos, Social Media Posts produced by/for Diggin Volleyball are property of Diggin Volleyball and may be used by Club for Club use on Website, Newspaper, Social Media posts at Diggin Volleyball discretion.  Any pictures, posts uploaded to website, Facebook page, Twitter account become property of Diggin Volleyball and may be used at Club’s discretion.

    7.   All property (pictures, social media posts, work product, equipment, etc.) may not be used without written permission of Diggin Volleyball.

    8.    Each player/parent is to post only positive posts on any social media platform that concerns or mentions Diggin Volleyball.

    9.       Practices will sometimes focus on only official team members, for example working on rotations/lineups for tournaments and practice players may have to sit out.  We try to keep to a minimum but may happen and we wanted to make you aware.

    Parents Guidelines:

    1.      All parents must register their daughter with USA volleyball & Lone Star Region on SportsEngine website http://www.sportsengin.com and follow instructions on website. (Cost $55). This must be done by November 1st, or your daughter will not be on roster that is sent for upcoming tournaments.

    2.     Do not talk negatively publicly or in social media about the program, coaches, parents and/or players. (These are grounds for Dismissal from the club)

    3.     Schedule a meeting with the coach for any/all questions about your daughter, however not during a tournaments or practice.   There is no mandatory playing time for each girl.  This is club volleyball, and the coach is in charge of doing what best for the team, not just one player.

    4.     Be a fan of everyone on the team.

    5.     Be supportive of your child

    6.     Season ends after the last scheduled tournament or April 30th, whichever is earlier.

    7.     When all else fails contact club director (Curtis Kaspar 979-482-0238)

    Player Development (Practice):

    1.      Players must attend practice on order to improve their skills.   Practice is where the tournament lineups and participation are earned.

    2.     We will be running Passing, Hitting, Defensive alignments, so missing practice will be detrimental to the player development.

    3.     5:45 – 6PM Put up net and stretch/warm up time

    4.     Each player will be required to come with shoes and knee pads on and ready to go.

    5.     Each player will be required to bring water bottle.

    6.     We will run competitive practice plans.  (A player must treat every practice as a game time situation, and they must fight for every point)

(Every Play, Every Point, Every Game – This is Diggin’ Volleyball Motto!)

    7.     Mental ability and stability is crucial in player development.

We will work on these elements as they are very important.

    8.     Cell Phone   Keep your cell phone in your bag and keep it on silent mode.   You will need to ask if you can look/use your phone during practice time.
