• 2026-2027 Jewish Silicon Valley Community Safety Fund Grant Guidelines and Application

  • Our Mission

The mission of Jewish Silicon Valley is to “harness the power of community to improve lives, build bridges of understanding, and strengthen the Jewish people here, in Israel and around the world.”
  • About the Fund:

The Jewish Silicon Valley Community Safety Fund is designed to support the security and resilience of the Jewish community in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in light of rising threats and recent attacks targeting Jewish institutions across the United States.

This fund is intended to provide flexible, responsive support to address urgent and emerging community safety needs. Jewish Silicon Valley (JSV) maintains discretion in deploying funds to ensure resources are directed where they are most needed as conditions evolve. Funding is made possible through a grant from Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF).

    Funding Priorities:

Funds may be used to support nonprofit organizations, religious institutions, schools, and community-serving spaces in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties to address security-related and other urgent needs, including but not limited to:

    • Supplemental security personnel for events or ongoing operations
    • Physical security enhancements (e.g., cameras, access control, lighting, barriers)
    • Security planning, assessments, or training
    • Emergency preparedness and incident response capacity
    • Short-term operational costs related to heightened security needs

    Funding Levels:

At this time, there is no fixed limit to how much applicants may request, as JSV seeks to understand the full scope of community need. JSV anticipates that average initial grant awards will be about $10,000, depending on available funding and demand.

    Applicant Requirements:

    • Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, religious institution, or educational organization
    • Serve the Jewish community in San Mateo or Santa Clara counties or demonstrate that the proposed use of funds will directly benefit the safety and security of the Jewish community in these counties
    • Be willing to provide additional information (e.g., organizational budget) if requested

    Communications:

JSV may publicly acknowledge grant recipients, including use of organizations’ names and logos, in communications related to this fund. Grantees may reference JSV as a funding partner in their own communications.
