  • I confirm that the property I am entering for the competition falls within the Lytham boundary. Please note that if your property falls outside this area you will not be considered for shortlisting.

  • We are lucky enough to have an RHS Judge to help us decide our winners. Here is some helpful information the judge will be looking for to assist you in completing your entry form. Due to time restrictions, we cannot visit every property so shortlisting will be done using the photographs and the information you submit on your entry form. So add as much detail as you can.

    Judges want to see a bright, colourful display using your own ideas and designs. They want to see how you have made the best use of your space. You can get extra points for environmental awareness features like composters, water butts, wormeries etc. The judges oppose the use of peat based products so tell us what you use instead. Include any wildlife friendly items you have – bird boxes, hedgehog runs, bug hotels etc.

    To enable us to fully appreciate your garden/area, please upload up to a maximum of 3 photos.

     

  • Important Dates for your diary:

    Competition entry dates will run from 1st June 2026 until midnight on 3rd July 2026.

    Shortlisting will be done after the closing date and judging will take place on 28th July 2026. If you are shortlisted, you will hear from us at least a week before judging day.

    Please note that if your entry is for a part of your property that is not easily accessible, you must be available on judging day. We cannot accept keys to your property.

    The Presentation evening will be on Wednesday 7th October 2026 at The Clifton Hotel where the winners of each category will be announced. Everyone who has been shortlisted will be invited to attend this evening.

    There are prizes of Stringers Vouchers for the winners.
