Serving as a Long-Term Volunteer (LTV) is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of Tijuana and better understand the complex issues surrounding the border region, develop leadership skills, work towards social justice, and exemplify global citizenship. LTVs with Esperanza serve for a period of 3 to 12 months. Their main duty is to be a leader by helping make positive connections between and with the groups and community members in Esperanza's home building program. LTVs work closely with people of all backgrounds and cultures. They live in Tijuana, Mexico at La Posada, volunteer, and receive a stipend.
