The TAEMSE EMS Student Scholarship is to provide educators with an ability to speak on behalf of students facing financial hardships which hamper continuation or success in their EMS coursework. The level of financial assistance is based on the need and could range from purchasing a stethoscope, helping with tuition, assisting with supplies, and other related means of assistance.
The EMS Educator can submit this application on behalf of the student because "you know your student’s situation". In this approach, as the educator, you are vouching for the validity of the student's true needs.
To nominate a student, you must be a registered attendee at the Texas EMS Educators Summit.
Scholarships are awarded by merit, number of applications, and available funds, as reviewed by the association’s budget committee. All payments will be made directly to the educational institution for tuition assistance, or to the nominee or program based on the situation and need. The scholarship will remain available to the awardee for 365 days from the date of award, or completion of the program, whichever comes first.
