I understand that is is a part-time, Independent Contractor position, and not and employee role. As an independent contractor I understand I am responsible for tracking my own schedule, my mileage and other work expenses, and I will be issued a 1099 for paying my own taxes.

Why does an independent contractor role appeal to you at this time?

I understand that due to the nature, seasonality and consistently fluctuating schedule of pet sitting that Meow Cat Sitting does not guarantee a consistent number of visit or work hours each week.

Due to the nature of cat sitting and the relationships we build with our feline and human clients, we have an expectation that you commit to working with us for 1 year. (we'd love it if you stayed with us for longer). Are you able to commit to working in this role for at least a year?

This role requires flexibility, reliability and a genuine respect for both cats and our human clients and their homes. Is there anything about these expectations that gives you pause or that you would like to discuss further?

Cat sitting often requires the sitter to climb stairs, use a vacuum cleaner, crawl under beds, perform light clean-up tasks, lift or move 40lb bags of cat litter, bend over to scoop litter boxes, bend to pick up cat toys, lift heavy bags of garbage, bring in packages (under 70lbs) and mail, and sometimes water plants. Do you have any physical limitations that would hinder your performance in these or other tasks?
