  • Camper Information

  • Gender*
  • Roommate Requests

We assign roommates by age to ensure that every camper has the best opportunity to connect with peers in their own peer group. While we understand the comfort of rooming with a sibling, our policy focuses on encouraging campers to meet new people and build confidence independently. Siblings will, of course, have plenty of time to see each other during communal meals and all-camp activities!

  • Transportation

If your camper is flying into Richmond a shuttle will be coordinated to/from Airfield. Please send your flight information to Kathyg22@vt.edu. NOTE: your teen should be prepraed for long waits in the airport so we can make fewer trips. The Airport is about 50 miles away. This equates to about a 1 hour and 5 minutes driving time. If you arrange for your own shuttle/Uber to Wakefield, please let us know so we can plan to expect your traveler.

A travel stipend reimbursement up to a maximum is available for families upon request. Grant funds for travel reimbursement will be distributed via check after camp ends. Funds will be prioritized based on method of travel, with priority given to those flying to Richmond. There is a limit of one travel stipend per household, excluding those with multiple campers flying in from the same household.
