VBS Teen Volunteer Application 2026
  • VBS Teen Volunteer Application 2026

  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help with Vacation Bible School 2026! Our program will take place June 1-4 at St. Patrick Church of Merna; volunteers will serve from 5:30pm-8pm each night.

In order to provide the best experience for everyone involved with VBS, we have reworked certain areas of our programming. Due to these changes, we are expecting to receive more applications than positions available for teen volunteers. Filling out this form does not guarantee receiving a volunteer position.

    Application Procedures:

    • We will accept applications through Friday, May 1st.
    • The teen applying is expected to fill out this application to the best of their ability.
    • You will receive an email during the week of May 4th notifying you of your assignment to a particular position or to the waiting list.
    • If you are offered a position, you must reply and accept it by Monday, May 11th. If we do not hear from you by this date, we will offer the position to someone else.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to grow and improve our VBS program! If you have any questions, please contact our VBS Director, Jenny Cook, or Teen Volunteer Director, Erin Okrzesik

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • The following questions are to be filled out by the teen applicant. We will take these answers into consideration when placing teens into volunteer positions.

  • Team Descriptions

Counselor Team: One of our most important volunteer opportunities. You MUST be available EVERY night of VBS. You will be teamed up with other counselors to guide a group of children through VBS each night. You will have an excellent opportunity to get to know the children, and help them learn about the goodness of God.

Craft Team: You will help our kids complete their crafts each night and also guide them through an interactive learning activity to reinforce their Bible lesson for the evening.

Games Team: You'll explain the games to the children and help them enjoy high energy activities.

Snack Team: Help each night with assembling and distributing snacks and drinks, clean up, and prepare for the next evening.

Survivor Team: This opportunity is for Senior High volunteers to work with 5th and 6th grade kids. Help guide our Survivors through their program for the week.

Bible Story Team: Assist our Bible Story leaders in providing an interactive Bible story and lesson.

I'm happy to help where needed: We appreciate your flexibility!
