  • About this form

    Section 1 - Ensemble opportunities

    • Part 1 Deals with the ensemble opportunities that are available to pupils within your school
    • Part 2 Requests information with regard to Keystage level, sex at birth and the numbers of pupils with SEN statements and eligible for pupil premium who take part in the school ensembles
    • Part 3 Requests information with regard to the ethnicity of pupils who take part in the school ensembles. We recognise that this might be challenging so please make use of Not Known fields where necessary.

    Section 2 - Classroom Instrumental Learning (CIL) previously Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (WCET)

    • Requests the year group, number of pupils and length of the project 

    Section 3 - Individual, small & large group tuition

    • Requests information with regard to children receiving Individual, small group or large group lessons and their standards. Once again it's broken down by sex at birth, pupils eligible for pupil premium and those with SEN statements.

    Section 4 - Ethnicity

    • Once again we are also asked to record the pupils ethninicity. This relates solely to pupils receiving small group, Large group & individual tuition

    This section deals with the standards of children receiving small group and individual lessons away from the whole class environment, typically these are the children that have opted to receive or continue learning an instrument in the 'conventional' manner.

    The information being requested relates solely to tuition that is being provided independently of the Love Music Trust

    On the following pages you will be asked to enter the numbers of children receiving instrumental and vocal lessons broken down into Individual, Small Group and Large Group (more than 10 pupils together in the same group) lessons.

    Each of the above categories is then further split into:

    • Sex at birth
    • Pupils receiving additional subsidy support (this is a contribution made on behalf of an individual pupil(s) in addition to any financial contribution that is made by the school towards the general cost of lessons where a charge is levied on pupils for lessons)
    • Pupils eligible for pupil premium
    • Pupils with an SEN statement
    • Pupils with a combination of the previous 3 scenarios

    'This section asks for general figures of standards comparable to those used by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). If you are uncertain of the standard of an individual pupil, please ask the pupil's instrumental teacher.

  • As you've indicated that your SG & I Instrumental and vocal lessons are provided by the Love Music Trust, data relating to the standard of your pupils will be entered by LMT on your behalf but you will still be asked to provided information relating the the ethnicity of your pupils receiving small group and individual lessons.

  • As you've indicated that some of your small group and individual lessons are provided by tutors other than the Love Music Trust you need to complete the next section indicating the standards attained by those pupils receiving tuition from other tutors or providers.

    Data relating to standards and attainments of pupils receiving lessons from the Love Music Trust will be entered by LMT staff on your behalf.
