KC Shepherd's Center (KCSC) is bringing a new series of no-cost digital literacy workshops to our community through a grant from the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and AT&T. In this series of workshops, discover:

    • The basics of navigating the internet
    • How to set up an email account
    • How to protect yourself from online scammers
    • And more!

We offer four core, 1-hour workshops designed specifically for older adults, covering:

Internet Basics: Participants learn about search engines, the internet, and how to navigate websites.

Email Basics: Participants learn how to set up an email account and how to use email (including how to compose, reply, forward and organize email).

Cybersecurity Basics: Participants learn about account and password security, how to spot online scams and fraud, and tips to keep yourself and your information safe online.

Android Mobile Device Basics: Participants learn the features and functions of Android mobile devices and how to use and navigate apps.

    OFFICE HOURS:

KCSC also provides individualized help for individuals with specific device questions through "Office Hours" which follow each workshop or at other designated dates/times at KCSC's offices.
