  • 2026 ASHBA NATIONAL SELECT SERIES HORSE DECLARATION

    The mission of the ASHBA National Select Series is to encourage more people to show American Saddlebreds, Half Saddlebreds, and Roadsters/Hackney Roadsters and to strengthen the show horse market by providing classes where horses not competing at the World's Championship Horse Show (WCHS) can show against one another.

  • 1. To be eligible for the ASHBA National Select Series, owners will have to declare their horse for the Select Series program. Horses must
    show in at least one (1) Select Series class at an ASHBA Star Show, USEF, or USEF Lite show to qualify for Select Series Regional
    Championships and the National Championship held at the All American Horse Classic in Indianapolis, IN.


    2. American Saddlebreds and Half Saddlebreds must show in separate classes. All Select Series classes will run according to American
    Saddlebred and Half Saddlebred breed rules and specifications.


    3. Owners must be an ASHBA competing member in order to be eligible to participate in Select Series qualifying classes and Regional and
    National Championships.


    4. Horses that show at the World's Championship Horse Show (WCHS) in the same calendar year are ineligible for Select Series classes.
    Exception: Horses shown in equitation classes at WCHS may still enter performance classes in the Select Series Regional and National
    Championships.

    Half Saddlebred Classes:
    Open Fine Harness
    Open Pleasure Driving
    Open Walk/Trot Snuffle Bit
    Open In Hand
    Amateur 3 Gaited Show Pleasure
    Amateur 3 Gaited Country Pleasure
    Open 3 Gaited Park (any age rider, amateur or professional)

     

    Roadster/Hackney Roadster Pony Classes:
    Open Roadster To Bike
    Open Road Pony To Bike

  •  ASHBA National Select Series Regions

    Regions are combined into 8 Regions (see below) for the ASHBA National Select
    Series Circuit with regional championships held at selected shows. To be eligible for
    the Regional Championships, an entry must have been declared and shown in
    one (1) ASHBA National Select Series class at a qualifying show in that region. Horses can qualify for more than one Regional Championship by showing in a Select Series qualifier in those respective regions.
