    Georgia Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation Organizational Grant Application
  • I. PURPOSE OF GRANT PROGRAM

  • The Georgia Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) awards grants to eligible organizations in furtherance of its charitable and educational mission.

    Grants are intended to support educational, charitable, and community-based initiatives that provide a clear public benefit and are consistent with applicable federal and Georgia law.

    Submission of this application does not guarantee funding. All grant awards are subject to review, approval, and funding availability, and are made at the sole discretion of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, in accordance with the Foundation’s Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual.

  • II. ORGANIZATION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • To be eligible for consideration, the applicant organization must:
    1. Be one of the following:
        o A nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under
        Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
        o A governmental or educational entity eligible to receive charitable
        grant funds; or
        o A professional or trade association eligible for grant consideration solely
        with respect to qualifying educational programming, as further described
        in Section IV below;

    2. Be in good standing with all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements;
    3. Have a mission and activities consistent with the Foundation’s charitable purposes;
    4. Demonstrate the administrative and financial capacity to properly manage, track, and account for grant funds;
    5. Submit a complete application and all required supporting documentation by the stated deadline.

    Incomplete or ineligible applications may not be considered.

  • IV. ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS & GOVERNANCE

  • Educational & Professional Associations

  • REALTOR® Associations, REALTOR® Boards, or similar professional or trade associations that provide continuing education or other educational programming may be eligible for grant consideration only to the extent that grant funds are used solely for educational purposes consistent with the Foundation’s charitable mission and applicable law.

    Such grants must be structured in compliance with the Foundation’s grant policies, including appropriate use restrictions, reporting requirements, oversight, and accountability. The Foundation reserves the right to require additional documentation or assurances to confirm that grant funds will be used exclusively for approved educational purposes.

  • Important Notice: All grant awards are subject to annual grant caps, funding availability, and other limitations established by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Submission of this application does not create any entitlement to funding.

  • VI. PROGRAM OR PROJECT DESCRIPTION (REQUIRED)

  • Provide a detailed description of the program, project, or initiative for which grant funding is requested. Include:
    • Statement of need;
    • Goals and objectives;
    • Educational or charitable outcomes;
    • Target population or beneficiaries;
    • Geographic area served;
    • How the program aligns with the Foundation’s charitable mission.

  • VII. USE OF GRANT FUNDS (REQUIRED)

  • Describe in detail how the requested grant funds will be used. Grant funds must be used solely for the purposes described in this application and approved by the Foundation.

    NOTE: Grant funds may not be used for purposes inconsistent with the Foundation’s charitable mission, grant policies, or applicable law.

  • VIII. BUDGET AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION(REQUIRED)

  • Provide a summary budget for the program or project, including:
    • Total project cost;
    • Amount requested from the Foundation;
    • Other funding sources (secured or pending).

  • IX. ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY AND EXPERIENCE

  • Describe the organization’s experience administering similar programs or projects, including relevant outcomes, performance metrics, and internal capacity.

  • X. REPORTING AND ACCOUNTABILITY (REQUIRED)

  • Grant recipients are required to comply with all grant-related reporting and accountability requirements established by the Foundation.

    Grant recipients shall submit reports in the form and on the schedule required by the Foundation as a condition of the grant award, including documentation demonstrating proper use of funds and progress toward stated program objectives.

    Failure to comply with reporting requirements may result in suspension, revocation, or recovery of grant funds.

  • XI. NON-DISCRIMINATION CERTIFICATION (REQUIRED)

  • The applicant organization certifies that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion or creed, sex (including pregnancy), gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal or Georgia law.

  • XII. CERTIFICATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

  • By signing below, the applicant organization certifies that:
    1. All information provided in this application is true, complete, and accurate;
    2. Grant funds, if awarded, will be used solely for approved charitable or educational purposes;
    3. The organization agrees to comply with all grant-related use restrictions, reporting requirements, and accountability standards;
    4. The Foundation reserves the right to revoke or recover grant funds in the event of misuse, misrepresentation, or failure to comply with grant conditions;
    5. Submission of this application does not create any entitlement to funding.

  • XIV. GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE AND REVIEW PROCESS

  • Submission Timing
    Grant applications may be submitted on a rolling basis and are accepted during each financial quarter of the Foundation. There is no single annual deadline for grant submissions.


    Administrative Review for Completeness
    Upon receipt, each grant application shall be reviewed by the Staff Liaison, serving as the Foundation Administrator, to determine whether the application is complete and includes all required information and documentation.


    Board Consideration
    Only grant applications deemed complete following the administrative review shall be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting following the determination of completeness. Submission of a grant application does not guarantee consideration at a particular meeting, and
    incomplete applications may delay review or consideration by the Board of Directors.
