The Olympia Tumwater Foundation with funding from the City of Tumwater is presenting a public art opportunity for local artists. This is an exciting opportunity for an artist or artist team to create a unique artwork into a welcome structure at Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls. The budget is $25,000 inclusive of design, fabrication, installation, and tax.
What we are looking for: the artwork is intended to be a free-standing welcome structure as you begin your walk around the park. It could be an archway, a statue, or sculpture. It will be outside year round.
Possible themes include: The natural beauty of the park, a sense of belonging, a place of respite, an inclusive space, a portal into history, acknowledge the Squaxin tribe presence since time immemorial.
Applications close June 8th, 2026 at 5pm.
