  • This month we are headed to Bear Creek Park located in Surrey to explore the wonderful world of pollinators and flowering plants! We’ll learn about the challenges pollinators face, how you can help pollinators thrive, and the basics of planting a pollinator garden!

    This program is free of charge as part of Surrey’s Environmental Extravaganza and is in collaboration with NatureKidsBC.

    This event will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.

     

    WHEN: Saturday, May 16th, 12:30-1:30 PM and 2:00-3:30 PM.

    WHERE: Bear Creek Park, Surrey, BC (Meet the FRDC educator at the beginning of the trail headed to Bear Creek Gardens (just outside of the Surrey Arts Centre parking lot).

    WHAT:

    • Learn about pollinators
    • Create seed bombs
    • Play pollinator games

    WHO: While everyone is welcome, this workshop is aimed at children and their families.

    COST: This event is free.
