Position Summary
The Director of Transportation is a key member of the Host Organizing Committee (HOC), responsible for the strategic planning and execution of transportation services for select SETS-supported events. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and timely movement of athletes, officials, VIPs, and equipment, contributing directly to the overall success and professionalism of each event. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and transition support from the current Director of Transportation
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an active member of the Host Organizing Committee, participating in planning meetings and decision-making
- Develop and oversee the event’s transportation strategy and operational plan
Coordinate transportation logistics for athletes, teams, officials, VIPs, and staff
- Liaise with transportation providers (bus companies, shuttle services, volunteer drivers)
- Plan and manage airport arrivals and departures as required
Establish transportation schedules, routes, and contingency plans
- Monitor transportation operations during the event and resolve issues in real time
- Ensure all transportation activities meet safety and risk management standards
