What is 3D printing?
3D printing is a process of creating three-dimensional physical objects from a digital file by depositing plastic material layer by layer. Think of it like a robotic arm with a glue gun attached to it, but instead of glue it's plastic.
What Should i Print?
As a personal rule of thumb i always recommend people think of unique items that you wouldn't be able to pickup at your local dollar store. Unless they contain a truly unique design, things like: Plant Pots, Kitchen Items and Containers are typically not a good use of 3D Printing as they are quite time consuming to print and use a lot of materials. However, things like: Cosplay items, Gadgets, or old hard to find mechanical parts are a great use for it, because they are unique and not as readily available. How much will it cost?
As far as pricing goes i try to keep things inexpensive. Unless i regularly print an item i try to do a minimum of $20 per order, the goal is to try and make your money go long. If it's a simple item that is fairly quick to print i will adjust costs accordingly but that is what i like to set as a base rate. I also love a challenging project so hit me with your best shot.
How do i get started?
Take a second, think of something you want, and fill out the form below. If you need some time to browse options, you can go to Printables (3D File Site) and look at different available files. After that i will assess the file assess the time and material costs and then will send you a quote, at which time you can review the quote and let me know if we are good to move forward. If it's a custom product i typically take payment upfront, or we can do 50/50 deposit on completion.
