The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby is one of Manitoba’s largest charitable ice fishing events and one of Lac du Bonnet’s largest contributors to community funding. Each year, the Derby brings together anglers, families, businesses, volunteers, and visitors for an exciting day on the ice while generating meaningful support for our community.
In 2026, we proudly surpassed $1 million in total contributions, reaching $1,035,873 in cash, prizes, and community contributions. To date, the Derby has supported more than 110 community projects, with $294,065 reinvested into Lac du Bonnet and surrounding communities. In 2026 alone, more than $28,000 was returned to the community through grants, bursaries, and volunteer support.
