About the event:
¡Fiesta en la calle! is a free block party where everyone is welcome to celebrate the community's vibrant and diverse artistic talents and cultural backgrounds.
This lively, day-long block event transforms Island Street into a hub of creativity and fun, offering a diverse range of free art activities, live music, food, dancing, and games for all to enjoy.
Indoors, our teaching artists perform demonstrations highlighting our educational offerings in ceramics, animation, laser engraving, and more!
Outdoors, tents feature local businesses and nonprofits, as well as local artists.

What you need to know + do:
This form is for artists only! If you are a food vendor looking to be part of Fiesta en La Calle 2026, please email info@essexartcenter.org.
All mediums are welcome, including jewelry, artist books, and other forms of artmaking. All artists interested in selling their work are encouraged to apply! AI art will not be accepted.
Applying does not guarantee your spot as a vendor. Application closes Sunday, May 10, by Midnight. Artists will be notified by May 22nd.
Set up time:
Set up begins at 10:00 AM. Attendees arrive at 12:00 PM, so please plan to be ready to greet the public by 11:45 AM.
Breakdown time:
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM, please do not break down early unless you have sold out.
The photo you include in your submission is what will be used to promote you on our social media before Fiesta en La Calle. Please make sure to submit clear, good-quality photos of your work so we can promote you properly.
Vendor fee:
We ask that each accepted vendor pay a $50 fee to participate. Fees support event costs.
As soon as you are accepted, you will receive an invoice to pay your vendor fee. The event is rain or shine, and we cannot refund payments. Vendor fees must be paid in order to participate and will be due by Sunday, May 31, 2026.
What you should bring:
-All vendors must bring their own tent, tables, and chairs. If this poses a hardship for you, please get in touch with us at mariana@essexartcenter.org.
-Payment systems, card readers, CashApp, Paypal, Venmo, make sure you are getting paid!
-Make that display beautiful! You don't need much to have a nice setup, keep your space clean is all we ask. Table cloths, business cards, posters, whatever you need to promote yourself and your biz.
