Supporting Students in Pursuit of Higher Education:

Annually, the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Committee awards two bursaries, each valued at up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), to deserving applicants based on criteria such as relevance, financial need, and the availability of funds from the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby. The aim of this bursary is to offer financial assistance to deserving students pursuing further education, particularly in fields that may be relevant or beneficial to the Lac du Bonnet region.
Core Criteria:

Financial assistance is available for students pursuing post-secondary studies, with priority given to fields of study that address the needs of Lac du Bonnet. Additionally, applicants should exhibit academic proficiency indicating readiness for success in their chosen field of study.
General Instructions & Information:

This application is used to assess your eligibility and financial need for post-secondary education. If you have any questions, please contact the General Manager of the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby by email at gm@ldbice.ca or by phone/text at 204-340-0266. Please take your time and ensure your application is complete. Before submitting, make sure you have: 1. Provided all required information. 2. Answered all questions clearly and concisely, with attention to spelling, grammar, and formatting. 3. Provided two references & uploaded a letter of reference from each. 4. Uploaded your high school transcript or your most recent post-secondary transcript. 5. Uploaded a copy of your acceptance letter from the post-secondary institution you will be attending. 6. Uploaded a digital copy of your graduation photo (this will only be used to announce recipients on ldbice.ca). You may save your progress and return to the form at any time. Once all sections are complete, please submit your application.
Bursary Payment Process:

Bursaries will be awarded in person or by mail, aligning with current health and safety protocols at the time of distribution. Bursary award funds will be paid when proof of actual registration is received by the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby.
