SSSC New Membership Application

SSSC NEW MEMBER APPLICATION 2026
New applicants (and lapsed members who were not members in the past year) must be 18 years old, be an on-going annual or life NRA or other Second Amendment Advocacy organization member, and submit the dues payment plus this fully completed and signed membership application.

New applicants (and reapplying lapsed members) must also sign the Release and Waiver of Liability at the end of this application, and successfully complete an SSSC Range Safety Orientation.

The individual membership fee can be found on our website. Dues are applicable from January 1 through December 31 of each year.

An individual electronic gate code will be issued to each accepted individual member after the completion of the SSSC Range Safety Orientation. Club benefits include: unsupervised access to the SSSC range facility and use of all range resources; access to the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP); and hosting of shooting guests at the range.

BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY RULES (to be followed at all times an and off the range)

1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.

2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

3. Keep you finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you're ready to shoot.

4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

SSSC RANGE SAFETY RULES

WHEN MOVING GUNS TO AND FROM VEHICLES
Cased guns can be moved to/from the firing line shooting tables at any time (not behind the firing line), but guns are not to be uncased (or touched) while people are downrange.*

Cease Fires
The pistol and rifle ranges are separate and distinct. Each range may have its own Range Safety Officer. Shooters on one range may shoot on that range, even if there is a cease fire on the other range. All other posted safety apply at both ranges.*

Anyone may call an EMERGENCY CEASE FIRE if an unsafe condition is suspected. All guns must be holstered immediately or tabled until the unsafe condition is resolved. During a GENERAL CEASE FIRE all guns must be holstered or unloaded and tabled/racked with actions open.*

GENERAL
During informal shooting activities with no designated Range Safety Officer, it is the responsibility of every shooter to ensure all the safety rules are followed by all shooters.*

MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

I have read and understand the above Basic Firearms Safety Rules, and the SSSC Range Safety Rules, and agree to abide by these rules as a condition of my membership. I understand that these rules may be modified from time to time, and that those changes will be communicated to the membership in a timely manner. I also understand that failure to obey the SSSC safety rules and Club policies may result in termination of my membership and forfeiture of any paid dues.

In addition to the New Membership Application and related requirements, all new applicants are required to submit this completed NRA Pledge and Waiver of Liability.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
1. I acknowledge the shooting a firearm is an inherently dangerous activity. Consequently, while at the SSSC range I must and will follow the SSSC safety rules and heed all commands from the designated Range Safety Officer.

2. I warrant and represent that I am able to pass the CBO background check, that I am legally free to purchase and own firearms in the state of Colorado, and that I am under no type of restraining order which prevents my possession and/or use of firearms.

3. I hereby assume full resposibility for any and all risks, injuries and/or damages, known and unknown, or whatsoever kind or nature, which might incur as a result of shooting at the SSSC range.

4. I assume responsibility for the actions of any and all guests that I bring to the SSSC range.

5. In consideration of being permitted to participate at the SSSC range, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive completely and without reservationany and all claims I, or my Estate, my heirs, or any person claiming under me, may have against the SSSC, its officders, directors, employees, or representatives from any and all injuries or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in shooting activities.

6. This release shall remain in full force and effect so long as I participate in activities at the SSSC range.
