Requirements

1. Applicants must be a high school senior of color currently enrolled in a high school in Ventura County, California. 2. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
Application Materials

1. Most recent high school transcript. 2. Copy of Letter of Acceptance to an accredited college or university beginning in the summer or fall of 2026. 3. Type-written essay about the importance of a College Education to African Americans and People of Color Past, Present and Future. The essay should highlight the applicant’s career goals, outstanding academic work, community service activities, and extracurricular activities. *A related “College Essay” may be substituted and/or modified*. 4. Write an essay about a member of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine (Prince Hall Shriners)—living or deceased—who is inspirational to you. Please describe how their commitment to service and leadership influences your personal life and future goals. Prominent members include Thurgood Marshall, Duke Ellington, Richard Pryor, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., and Rev. Jesse Jackson. Feel free to visit aeaonms.org to use as a resource. 5. Submit a resume of employment, accomplishments and community service. 6. A clear headshot photograph of the applicant. 7. Complete Photo & Video Release Form.

Amasis Temple No. 262 Photo and Video Release Agreement

1. Authorization and Grant of Rights - By submitting this application, I (the "Undersigned") hereby grant Amasis Temple No. 262, its agents, and designees (collectively "Amasis Temple") the absolute and irrevocable right to use, record, and edit my name, likeness, image, voice, and performance (the "Recordings") for marketing and promotional projects. Bbbb 2. Ownership and Usage- Exclusive Ownership: Amasis Temple shall be the exclusive owner of all rights and interest, including copyright, in the Recordings. Distribution: Amasis Temple has the perpetual right to produce, copy, distribute, and transmit the Recordings in any medium, including print and the Internet. Naming Discretion: Amasis Temple may choose to use or omit my name in connection with these Recordings at their discretion. No Obligation: Amasis Temple is not obligated to use the Recordings or exercise any rights granted in this release. 3. Acknowledgment and Consent- I understand that Amasis Temple is relying on this consent as part of the scholarship application process.
