  • 55th Mountain Fair Valley Artists' Booth Application

Applications are due Monday, May 11 by 11:59pm. The Valley Artists' Booth will be at the 55th Annual Mountain Fair here in Carbondale on July 24-26, 2026. The booth allows local artists to exhibit and sell their artwork in a cooperative, inexpensive way. Gallery space is very limited, and artwork is juried. // Artists are required to assist with set-up and breakdown, and to work shifts during the fair. Carbondale Arts will provide the tent, panel displays, pedestals, and more. Artists are responsible for their own display. // Carbondale Arts will handle the accounting and collect sales tax. Questions? Email brian@carbondalearts.com.

    • Non-members of Carbondale Arts: nonrefundable $30 application fee

    BOOTH INFO
Most craft and food vendors will be located in Sopris Park (some are now located on Weant and onto Main Street). The Valley Artists' Booth will be located by the Cantina in the middle of Sopris Park in a large shared tent (20'x30').

Approximately 15 artists will be accepted; space within the tent is quite limited. Carbondale Arts will provide the tent, up to 9 Pro Panels (a free-standing display system used at art festivals), a variety of pedestals, and other display items.

Artists are responsible for installing their own display on Thursday afternoon (7/23), take-down on Sunday by 5pm (7/26), and working two 2-hour shifts in the booth during the 3-day fair (7/24 - 7/26).

    DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS
All 2D artwork should be “gallery ready” (ready to hang with wire, D-rings, or sawtooth hanger preferred). Everything for sale inside the booth MUST have a visible price affixed to each piece. A completed inventory list with artist’s name and contact information will be required at least 2 weeks before the fair.

    PAYMENT FOR YOUR SALES
Carbondale Arts will issue checks within 30 days of the end of Mountain Fair, but no sooner than 7 days after the end of the fair.
