  • Join Rabbi Aaron and other members of the Nefesh community for Intro to Rabbinic Literature, a four week exploration of tefillah (prayer). Each week the class will study texts from different eras and forms of rabbinic literature: Mishnah, Gemara, Midrash, and Halakha.

Through a combination of chevruta learning (studying texts with a partner) and shiur (class/lecture), this class will be an opportunity to deepen your familiarity with classical Jewish texts, expand your personal prayer practice, and form new relationships with members of the Nefesh community.

This class will take place in person at The Commons in Echo Park.

In the weeks that lead up to our celebration of Shavuot, a holiday where we celebrate receiving Torah at Sinai, what better way to prepare than by studying some Torah! No background knowledge necessary. Looking forward to learning together!

    Suggested Contribution for Participation:

    $72-108 for Nefesh Kin

    $108-144 for non-Kin
