Sailors and Teams coming to Dun Laoghaire to train before the official event date should note that:

While visitors will be most welcome to use the bars and catering facilities in the host clubs (National and Royal St George yacht clubs) they will not, due to a high level of other sailing activities, be able to accommodate any competitor’s dinghies or coach boats before the official start of training on 18th August.

Prior to that, parking and launching facilities will be available by prior arrangement in the Coal Harbour - the area on the western side of Dun Laoghaire Harbour. There are two organisations in the coal harbour who may be able to facilitate rib berthing and dinghy parking:

·         The Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club - office@dmyc.ie

·         The Irish National Sailing School - Glyn Williams - glyn@inss.ie

Secure storage for a rib, dinghy or vehicle between visits is available in the same area by arrangement from POD Marine – dublin@podmarine.com

If there is sufficient demand it may be possible, with advance notice, to arrange with the Harbour Authority additional dinghy parking space in the Coal Harbour area.

We strongly recommend you plan your visit in advance as space will be in short supply.
