Join us for Code Your Own Tartan LIVE

Can you use code to craft a tartan that tells your story?

Join our interactive online event where you’ll learn about the history of tartan, hear from the people who make it today, and get hands on with creative coding tools.

We will be joined by special guests from Lochcarron of Scotland. With a heritage dating back to 1892, Lochcarron of Scotland is the world’s leading manufacturer of tartan.

They’ll give an insight into the origins of this iconic textile, and show us how it’s designed, dyed, woven, and tailored in the Scottish Borders today.

Two time slots are available, we'll share invites for both - pick whatever suits you and your learners best.

Logistics:

Registrants will be sent calendar invites for both sessions, each running 50 minutes. Both sessions follow the same format.
Teachers/leaders play a YouTube Live video for the whole group to watch.
Learners can participate on laptops, tablets, or phones via Mentimeter (optional but encouraged).
