At least one adult chaperone per participant. Each participant must have a properly fitted bicycle in good working condition. A helmet will be provided if needed.

Bike Right into summer with Avenues in Motion! Join us for a Free kids learn to ride event at the Mennen Sports Arena. This 1 ½ hour indoor class teaches the safe and effective “balance first” method. AVENUES IN MOTION certified Bike Right® instructors will remove the bike’s pedals and teach balance and control above all else. Your child will learn the basics of starting, stopping, steering, proper bike/helmet fit and adjustment. Once the participant demonstrates improved balance, the pedals will be put back on their bike and they will move on to the one-on-one first push portion! Instructors provide upbeat music and positive reinforcement to keep the class motivated. Instruction will support various learning styles and will give your child the tools they need to build confidence on two wheels. PARENT/CHAPERONE ENGAGEMENT highly encouraged so that when kids go home and practice everyone feels more comfortable.
