Tier 3: Supported Access Early Bird $40 CAD | Regular $80 CAD |
This tier exists to ensure that cost is never a barrier to participation. It is intended for youth and for people for whom even a reduced rate would create hardship. All those in financial need are welcome and no justification is required. Spots are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
This includes:
- Youth under 21, regardless of employment status
- People currently unemployed or between positions
- People whose income or life circumstances make any conference fee a genuine barrier.
- Equity-seeking participants including 2SLGBTQIA+ people who are racialized, have disabilities, are newcomers, and facing structural barriers to participation.
Examples:
A young queer person attending their first research conference. Someone between jobs who has done community advocacy work. A newcomer to Canada engaged in LGBTQ+ community organizing. A person with a disability on a fixed income.
What we collect from Tier 3 registrants:
- Age confirmation: under 21 / 21 or over / prefer not to say
- Optional one sentence: why this tier supports your participation
