  • The Port Pathways Fellowship is the flagship summer internship program of the Port of New Orleans, designed to develop the next generation of leaders in global trade, maritime operations, and supply chain innovation.

    Strategically located along the Mississippi River, the Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) serves as a critical gateway connecting Louisiana and the nation to global markets. In partnership with the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) and the transformative Louisiana International Terminal (LIT) project, Port NOLA is advancing a modern, multi-modal logistics network that will shape the future of commerce along the Gulf Coast.

  • Chart Your Course: Fellowship Tracks
    Fellows will be placed in one of the following focus areas:

    Business Development
    Market expansion, customer engagement, and global trade strategy

    Communications & Digital Marketing
    Public relations, branding, stakeholder engagement, and digital content strategy

    Engineering
    Infrastructure planning, design, and support of port and terminal operations

    Environmental
    Sustainability initiatives, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship

    Finance
    Budgeting, financial analysis, and capital planning for large-scale operations

    Information Technology (IT)
    Systems, data, cybersecurity, and digital solutions supporting port operations

    Legal & Risk
    Contracts, compliance, and risk management within a complex regulatory environment

    Maritime Operations
    Vessel operations, terminal logistics, and day-to-day port activity coordination
