Participant Agreement (Required)
By registering for and/or attending the [Rue 26 Event] hosted by Audi Canada Inc., Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., all other members of the Volkswagen Group, and each of their past, present and future, parents, subsidiaries, affiliate divisions, assigns, shareholders, insurers, reinsurers, predecessors-in-interest, successors- in-interest, agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, representatives, and attorneys, I agree to the following:
- Voluntary Participation: I am choosing to attend and exhibit my vehicle voluntarily and understand that I will not receive any payment, compensation, or reimbursement.
- Eligibility: I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age and hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.
- Vehicle Ownership & Documentation: I confirm that I am the registered owner of the vehicle, or have permission from the owner to exhibit it. I agree to provide valid, unrestricted vehicle registration and, if requested, written authorization from the owner.
- Insurance: I confirm that my vehicle is insured with valid coverage (including liability insurance) as required by applicable law. I agree to provide proof of insurance upon request.
- Vehicle Responsibility: I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for my vehicle at all times, including its safety, condition, and security.
- Safe Operation: I confirm that I will not operate my vehicle, or any vehicle, while under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any substance that may impair my ability to do so safely.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in the [Rue 26 Event] involves risks (including potential damage, injury or death), and I accept these risks.
- Release of Liability: I release Audi Canada Inc., Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., all other members of the Volkswagen Group, and each of their past, present and future, parents, subsidiaries, affiliate divisions, assigns, shareholders, insurers, reinsurers, predecessors-in-interest, successors- in-interest, agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, representatives, and attorneys from any liability for loss, damage, injury or death related to my participation or my vehicle, including those arising from negligent acts or omissions.
- Media Consent: I consent to Audi Canada Inc. and its authorized representatives Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., all other members of the Volkswagen Group, and each of their past, present and future, parents, subsidiaries, affiliate divisions, assigns, shareholders, insurers, reinsurers, predecessors-in-interest, successors- in-interest, agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, representatives, and attorneys capturing, using, and disclosing photographs, video recordings, and other content featuring me and/or my vehicle for marketing and promotional purposes. This content may be used in various media, including digital, print, social media, and advertising materials. I acknowledge and agree that such content may be shared with Audi Canada Inc.’s Canadian subsidiaries and authorized Audi dealers in Canada for these purposes. The content may also be processed or stored outside of my province of residence or outside Canada. In such cases, appropriate contractual and security safeguards will be implemented in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Subject to applicable law, I may have rights of access and correction. Residents of Quebec may also have additional rights, including deletion and data portability in certain circumstances.
- Compliance & Conduct: I agree to follow all event rules, applicable laws, and instructions from event staff.
- Removal: Audi Canada Inc., and its authorized representatives reserve the right to request that I leave, or to remove me from, the event at their sole discretion, including where I withdraw consent to the capture or use of photographs, video recordings, or other content, or where my conduct is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or inconsistent with the nature of the event. In such circumstances, I agree to comply promptly with any such request. Removal from the event shall not give rise to any liability, compensation, or reimbursement on the part of Audi Canada Inc., Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., and their respective affiliates, except where required by applicable law.
- Indemnity: I agree to hold harmless and indemnify Audi Canada Inc., Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., all other members of the Volkswagen Group, and each of their past, present and future, parents, subsidiaries, affiliate divisions, assigns, shareholders, insurers, reinsurers, predecessors-in-interest, successors- in-interest, agents, servants, employees, officers, directors, representatives, and attorneys from any claims arising from my participation.
- Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec.
