Exploritorium Parties are 2 hours in length and include a private party room and shared use of the Exploritorium. Party room is available for the duration of the party time. Parties are available Friday–Sunday.

Bookings will be confirmed based on order of submission if there are multiple requests for the same date and time. A party coordinator will respond to your request in approximately 3–5 business days.

General Birthday Party Information
1. Parties are 2 hours in length and include a private party room and shared use of the Exploritorium. Party room is available for the duration of the party time.
2. Parties on Saturday or Sunday have Exploritorium playtime during the first 90 minutes of the party. Parties on Friday evening have use of the Exploritorium and party room for the full two hours.
3. Party host can check in 30 minutes before start of party to unload/decorate.
4. Fee includes 15 minutes of cleanup time for host to return room to original state.
5. Deposit due at date of booking. Security deposit will be refunded no later than 10 business days after the party if all guidelines are followed and the room(s) is left clean and without damage.
6. Tables and chairs are provided. Decorations, paper goods, food, etc. is the responsibility of the party host.
7. A birthday party attendant will be present to lead host to party room upon arrival, to transition party to party room after Exploritorium play, and to go over final checklist with host at the end of party. Party attendants will not help decorate or lead any activities during party.
Exploritorium Party Rules & Regulations
1. All Oakton Community Center and Exploritorium rules are to be abided by.
2. Proof of residency must be demonstrated before full payment is due.
3. Full payment is due within one week of booking and confirming the birthday party.
4. All guests in attendance must remain in rented rooms.
5. Children must be supervised at all times.
6. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to change a room assignment and is not able to honor room requests.
7. Guest capacity and time restrictions must be adhered to; if not, a penalty fee will occur.
8. Rental rooms must be left in the condition in which they were found; if not, a penalty fee will occur.
9. The District will assume no liability for any property left in the building.
10. Any damage to the building or grounds will be charged a penalty fee.
11. Smoking, alcoholic beverages, illegal substances and any form of gambling are strictly prohibited during Exploritorium parties.
12. Individual accident and health insurance is not provided by the Skokie Park District.
13. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to act in the best interest of the rentals on items not specifically covered in the above foregoing rules.
14. Customers wishing to cancel an Exploritorium party must notify the party coordinator no later than 28 days in advance to receive a full refund. Customers cancelling less than 28 days in advance but more than 7 days in advance will receive a refund of 50%. Customers cancelling 7 days in advance or less will not be issued a refund.
15. No food, drinks, or strollers beyond main Exploritorium gate.
16. Socks required in tubes and tunnels at all times.
