Applications can be submitted by any athlete interested in pursuing post-secondary education as a full-time student enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate (diploma or degree) program in the coming school year. Must have proof of acceptance in a qualifying program for the following term. All athletes who were active competitive athletes during the season which the scholarship is awarded are eligible to apply, including the BNB Athletes' Representative, as long as they are attending a post-secondary institution the following September. (Example: if you were a competitive athlete in 2025-2026 and are attending a post-secondary institution in September 2026, you can apply.) Athletes may apply more than once but can only be awarded the scholarship one time.

Criteria to be considered:

• Special consideration will be given to an applicant who remains an active full time competitive baton twirler while pursuing post-secondary education.
• Involvement in the baton community, other than competing, such as volunteering and/or coaching.
• Academic performance.
• Extra curricular activities.
• Community involvement.

The Selection Committee will consist of members of the BNB Executive Committee that are not in direct conflict of interest as well as 1 to 3 members of the community at large who are not directly involved with Baton NB or the sport of baton twirling.

• Scholarship cheque of $500
• Presented by BNB President at Annual Awards Banquet in June.
