    Foodie Feast: Louisiana Seafood Cook-off Edition
  • Visit Jefferson Parish (VJP), in partnership with Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board, and the Louisiana Restaurant Association, will host the 19th Annual Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off (LASCO) on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Pontchartrain Center; marking the first time the event will be held in Jefferson Parish! 

    We are looking for 20 restaurants to be Tasting Stations during the Louisiana Seafood Cook-off. These will serve as the culinary stations where patrons dine throughtout the evening. 

    Patrons of the LASCO event will enjoy tasting stations from restaurants throughout Jefferson Parish as a prelude to ‘what’s to come’ during the 3rd annual Visit Jefferson Parish Foodie Feast Restaurant Week September 20-26, 2026! 

    To be considered as a Tasting Station participant at the Foodie Feast, Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off June 26, 2026, please complete the following application by May 15, 2026.  A Visit Jefferson Parish team member will confirm your participation and dish within 72 hours of receiving your application. Space is limited, and dish selections will be approved on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

  • Restaurant/Caterer to provide the following:

    • Staff person on-site for set up/tear down and to serve patrons
    • 500 - 3oz to 5 oz portions (this varies by dish-type)
    • Chaffing dishes, sternos, serving utensils
    • Utensils for the patrons
    • Paper products (bowls or plates, napkins, etc.)
    •  Promotion of the LASCO event on social media (where applicable)
    • Certificate of Insurance (COI): Every vendor must provide a COI to VJP covering Commercial General Liability with limits - $1,000,000 each occurrence/$2,000,000 General Aggregate and Workers Compensation -statutory limits employers Liability Limits - 1,000,000/1,000,000/1,000,000
    • Participation in the Foodie Feast Jefferson Parish Restaurant Week September 20-26, 2026; restaurant’s choice; a percentage discount, a dollar amount off, or a pre-fixed menu. 
  • Visit Jefferson Parish provides the following:

    •  $300.00 stipend to each participating restaurant
    • Two (2) tables with tablecloths
    • Seafood will be provided by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board
    • Promotion of restaurant and/or it's chef on VJP social media channels and website

  • The seafood order will be provided FREE of charge by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board. 

    Seafood orders will be due on June 5, 2026. A VJP team member will contact you ahead of time with an order form. 

  • Every vendor must provide a certificate of insurance to the JCVB covering Commercial General Liability with limits - $1,000,000 each occurrence/$2,000,000 General Aggregate and Workers Compensation-statutory limits employers Liability Limits - 1,000,000/1,000,000/1,000,000 naming the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc. as additional insured on the policy and must provide a waiver of subrogation in favor of the Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc.
