    In the spirit of Women's Equality Day, we seek nominations of women whose work advances equity, civic engagement and lasting change in our communities. This person may have focused her efforts on one area or been involved in several of the areas listed below. Please keep these criteria in mind when nominating.

  • Civic Engagement/Voting Rights

    ·       Voter education, registration

    ·       Advocacy for fair elections

    ·       Leadership in nonpartisan civic organization.

    Advancing Women’s Rights and Gender Equity

    ·       Demonstrated leadership in protecting and advancing women’s rights

    ·       Work demonstrates efforts to support a society where gender does not limit opportunity, participation, or leadership.

    Community Impact/Social Justice

    ·       Work in affordable housing, healthcare or human services

    ·       Advocacy for marginalized/underrepresented groups

    ·       Grassroots organizing/community building efforts.
