We invite you to be part of our Quilt for Paws Project—a collaborative quilt that will be donated to LifeLine and auctioned at their April 2027 Good Human Gala, celebrating their 25th anniversary!
About the Project
We will create a portrait-style quilt featuring dog faces from the DeKalb County Animal Shelter. Each square will showcase a unique pup, coming together into a finished quilt measuring approximately 48” x 63.”
We are looking for 12 or more SEFAA community members to each create one square.
Design & Participation Details
Choose Your Dog:

(Be sure to indicate your selection!)
Square Requirements:
- Design area: 12” x 12”
- Fabric size: at least 14” x 14” (to allow for seam allowances)
- Leave a 1” border on all sides
Techniques:
- Your creative approach is welcome—piecing, applique, etc.
- Base fabric must be quilt-weight cotton
- Surface must remain flat (no embellishments) for longarm quilting
Important Dates
- Sign up by: June 1, 2026
- Complete your square by: September 30, 2026
- Quilt completion goal: January 1, 2027
