  • The Batesville Homeschool Co-op’s goal is to encourage and support one another in the homeschool journey. We seek to be Christ centered, working together to build Godly character in our children with the Bible as our source and guide.

Our classes seek to enrich and supplement the homeschool education. They are not intended to replace regular at home instruction.

Please read all policies and sign below indicating that you understand, agree with and will adhere to these statements of operation.

    Code of Conduct:

    • The teacher and parent helpers are the authority in the class. Students are expected to treat their teachers with respect and courtesy and give them their obedience and attentiveness.
    • No physical violence, extreme behavior resulting in safety concerns, or bullying of any kind (hitting, slapping, biting, taunting, name calling, mocking, excessive teasing or making fun of another’s opinion, etc.) will be tolerated at co-op.
    • No yelling or running inside the classrooms or hallways in the main building.
Respect church property. If there are any damages to co-op or church property caused by a child, the parents are financially responsible for replacing items or making repairs.
    • Do not leave the classroom or the co-op designated area without permission.
    • Do not bring items to class that are not related to the class (ex: video games, stuffed animals, live animals, no weapons, etc.)
    • Co-op is a place for learning and developing healthy relationships. Students will be encouraged to treat others kindly and respectfully.  No inappropriate words, conversation or touching will be permitted between students to include public displays of romantic affection.
    • Cell phones are prohibited and are not to be used by students during co-op hours or by adults during class time. The exception to this is if an adult works an on-call job or there is a family emergency.
  • Discipline Policy: The 3 Count System will be used in dealing with a behavior issues:

    • 1st Warning. The student will be spoken to by the teacher or parent helper.
    • 2nd warning. May be accompanied with a consequence such as: rearranging seating or time out of class or activity. If time out of the class is needed the child will sit with the Director for a determined amount of time.
    • 3rd warning-The student’s parent will be notified. This may result in the parent being asked to join the teacher in class to assist with the challenging behavior the following week or a suspension from the following co-op.
    • Repeated 3 counts within a semester-The child will be suspended until a meeting can take place between the parents of those involved, a co-op director and/or the pastor of the Desha First Baptist Church to discuss the ongoing problem, the possible underlying issues and to establish a plan of action such as but not limited to: Seeking counselling, requiring the parent to attend with their child on a continuing basis and/or suspension from the co-op for the rest of the semester.
    • Younger students (7yrs and younger) may need more guidance in regards to inappropriate behavior. These students may be given more mercy as teachers work with them and their parents.
    • No corporal punishment will be administered by any adult that is not the child’s parent, legal guardian, or the approved responsible party that brings the child(ren) to co-op each week. Any adult found practicing corporal punishment on a child or physical discipline in any way may be immediately and permanently dismissed from Co-op.
    • We understand that sometimes a student is not trying to be disruptive, naughty and deceptive, but rather being goofy, full of energy and excited. We will try to recognize the difference and seek a balance between holding up the rules and standards, while at the same time showing grace, patience and understanding.
  • Batesville Homeschool Cooperative requires parent volunteers in order to ensure the safety of all students and teachers. At the beginning of each semester, a list of dates are given in which a parent or family member is to volunteer in the classrooms. Do you understand and agree?*
  • Do you understand that Batesville Homeschool Cooperative is built on Christian values and agree to uphold those listed in the statements above?*
  • A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required to complete your registration and hold your family's spot. This will be put toward your overall tuition costs. EFA accounts, you can submit a receipt from registration to be reimbursed.*
