Please fill in the basic info below and then scroll down to let us know which of the group meet-up options you plan to attend this summer!
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
    • Skills and Chill
    • Join us for a flexible, half-day meet-up at the SOY office on Tuesday, June 16th! Mentors and mentees can participate in one or both of our interactive workshops—plus enjoy time together with games, activities, and dinner. If a mentor is not able to attend, a mentee may attend with one parent or guardian (not the whole family).

      • Location: Save Our Youth office (3443 W. 23rd Ave. Denver, CO 80211)
      • We’re partnering with Realizing Aptitudes to offer:
        1. Character Strengths workshop from 3:30-4:45pm: Uncover & Activate Your Strengths! You will learn what your signature strengths are, practice spotting strengths in each other, and learn how to put your strengths into action.
        2. A Teen Job Workshop from 5:45-7:15pm for mentees aged 14+ focused on vital skills needed for a successful job hunt. These skills include recognizing suitable opportunities, navigating the job search process, effectively using online resources, and proficiently completing applications and interview preparations.
      • Dinner will be provided between workshops.
      • Before, after, or in between workshops, matches can hang out at the office to enjoy games, billiards, darts, cornhole, basketball, and/or a creative art project. We will have these options open from 2-8pm.
      • You’re welcome to attend one workshop, both workshops, or simply come to connect and enjoy activities
    • Future “U”: Campus Exploration Day
    • Get ready to explore your future! Join us for a fun, interactive day at the Auraria Campus (CCD, CU Denver, and MSU Denver). Tour all three schools, hear from current SOY scholars who attend each, enjoy lunch, and take on a campus scavenger hunt.

We are still finalizing details but it will most likely be Mon, Wed, or Thur the week of July 20th sometime around 10am-2pm. Please sign-up if you think you would be interested and our Education Manager, Angela, will touch base with you once we have details confirmed to see if the date/time works for you.

This experience is open to all mentees—middle and high schoolers alike—because it’s never too early to start seeing yourself in college.

Mentors are encouraged to attend! If not able to, a mentee may attend with one parent or guardian (not the whole family). Participants are responsible to get to/from the Auraria Campus. Additional details (parking, exact meeting location, etc.) will be emailed to registered participants closer to the event date.
